President Donald Trump has fired acting Attorney General Sally Yates, making Dana Boente, the US Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia the new acting attorney general.

Yates was relieved of her post Monday, just hours after news broke that she was instructing Department of Justice lawyers not to defend the executive order.

Yates "betrayed the Department of Justice by refusing to enforce a legal order designed to protect the citizens of the United States," a press release from the Office of the Press Secretary read.

"I am honored to serve President Trump in this role until Senator Sessions is confirmed. I will defend and enforce the laws of our country to ensure that our people and our nation are protected," Boente said as Acting Attorney General in the press release.

“I am responsible for ensuring that the positions we take in court remain consistent with this institution’s solemn obligation to always seek justice and stand for what is right,” Yates wrote in a letter, according to the New York Times. “At present, I am not convinced that the defense of the executive order is consistent with these responsibilities nor am I convinced that the executive order is lawful.”

Trump responded to Yates' move on Twitter, calling it an example of Democrats' obstruction "for purely political reasons."

The US Attorney’s Office for Washington DC has dropped charges of felony rioting against RT America’s Alexander Rubinstein. He was among six journalists who were arrested while covering protests against the inauguration of President Donald Trump.

Rubinstein was wearing his press credentials and identified himself as a journalist when he was arrested. He was later charged with felony rioting, the highest level offense under the District of Columbia’s public disturbances law. Although he and the five other reporters were released on January 21, the charges against him were not dropped until Monday.

“I am pleased that the US Attorney’s Office has acknowledged my innocence pertaining to my arrest during my coverage of inauguration protests on January 20 in Washington, DC. As a journalist who was live-streaming for my company at the time, the arrest was a clear mistake," Rubinstein said in a statement.

“I would like to thank everybody in the journalism community who did not hesitate to speak out about my arrest and the arrest of other journalists, including the Committee to Protect Journalists, Reporters Without Borders, and many more journalists on an individual level,” he continued. “I would also like to thank my company, RT America, for the remarkable support I was given during this trying time. I will continue to do my job as a journalist and report on stories that my company and I deem newsworthy to our audiences.”

"We applaud the US attorney's decision to drop the charges against Alexander Rubinstein. Journalists must be allowed to do their jobs without fear of recriminations from law enforcement or the government, rights enshrined in the First Amendment to the Constitution," RT America said in a statement.

RT and the Russian Foreign Ministry had both previously condemned the charges, as did several international organizations, including the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.

Charges against three of the other journalists were also dropped on Monday. Similar charges against Vocativ journalist Evan A. Engel were dropped Friday after police received additional evidence, William Miller, a spokesman for the US Attorney’s Office for Washington DC, said in a statement.

In a gesture of solidarity, leaders from Quebec City's Muslim community stood side by side with Premier Philippe Couillard and Mayor Régis Labeaume to denounce yesterday's deadly attack on a local mosque.

"Quebec and Canada have to remain a beacon of tolerance," Couillard said at a news conference Monday.

"It's normal in times of crisis to talk about inclusion, but the real challenge will be to maintain that two weeks from now."

At times, the premier appeared close to tears as he listened to the remarks of Muslim men and women, some of whom had lost friends in the shooting.

"I can't express the terrible sorrow that has afflicted our community with this tragedy, which occurred in a place of worship and with people who were praying," said Mohamed Labidi, former president of the Quebec City mosque, the Centre Culturel Islamique de Québec (Islamic cultural centre of Quebec).

The motive, for the moment, remains unclear.

One man was arrested outside the mosque within minutes of the shooting.

At a police briefing Monday morning, Quebec City police Insp. Denis Turcotte said another man called 911 at 8:10 p.m. Sunday — 25 minutes after the shooting. Turcotte said that man told them he was armed and had been involved in the shooting.

"He seemed to want to co-operate," Turcotte said, telling police he was parked near the bridge on Île d'Orléans, where he was arrested without incident.

At noon Monday, Quebec provincial police said only one of the two men arrested Sunday night is now a suspect. Police have not released the suspect's name, but he is expected to appear in court later on Monday.

The Sûreté du Québec confirmed the other man arrested is now considered a witness.

Five people wounded in the attack are still in hospital. Two will need more surgery, while the other three are stable and may be discharged soon. Another 13 people have been released, according to a hospital spokeswoman.

Terrorist act, motive unclear

Couillard, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Quebec provincial police have all called the attack a terrorist act.

Quebec Premier Philippe Couillard speaks to Muslim community0:17

"We know that this horror was based on intolerance to one specific community. It's too early to say what the message they want to send," Couillard said.

The Islamic cultural centre of Quebec was previously the target of xenophobic messaging and vandalism.

Last June, during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, a pig's head was left on its doorstep.

Investigators, however, have not found any connection between that event and Sunday's shooting, said Robert Pigeon, Quebec City's police chief.

Politicians and community leaders will attend a vigil in Quebec City Monday evening. Other ceremonies have been planned across the country.

A message on the mosque's Facebook page said: "Thank you for the hundreds of compassionate messages coming from everywhere."

President Donald Trump has signed a new executive order mandating that for each new government regulation being enacted, two need to be revoked.

The order is in line with the new president’s plan to slash regulations by as much as 75 percent, as Trump believes the expanding body of government rules is stifling the US economy.

“We’re cutting regulations massively for small business – and for large business,” Trump said, signing the document. “This will be the biggest such act that our country has ever seen.”

The White House sets aside a budget for regulations each year. Monday’s measure specifies the 2017 regulations budget as $0.

A temporary regulations freeze was put into place on Trump’s first day in office. The new executive action establishes the process for when the freeze expires.

"There will be regulation, there will be control, but it will be a normalized control," Trump told reporters at the White House on Monday morning, as he signed the order.

The Obama administration was known for regulatory zeal, expanding the Federal Register to 81,640 pages in 2016 and setting a record for the greatest number of regulations issued in a single day with 527 pages on November 17, 2016.

Monday’s executive order is the sixth since Trump took the oath of office on January 20. He also signed ten presidential memoranda, including the one dated January 24 that instructed federal agencies to streamline the permit process and ease the regulatory burdens on small business.

'Sadistic rituals' practiced at German elite base detailed by media, investigated by military

Recruits and service personnel have been subjected to humiliating acts, violent rituals and sexual abuse at an elite military base in southern Germany, according to a report first published by Der Spiegel daily and later confirmed by the German military.

“Sexual abuse and sadistic actions” were “common practice” during a medical training course named “Combat First Responder” which recruits from all military branches had to attend at the Pfullendorf military base in Baden-Wuertemberg, Der Spiegel reported citing an internal military investigation that was kept secret.

The investigation was triggered in October 2016 after a female officer addressed the German parliamentary commissioner for the army, Hans-Peter Bartels as well as the German Defense Minister, Ursula von der Leyen.

The female lieutenant complained that she had to go through various humiliating and degrading exercises and rituals during her medical training at the base. The recruits were forced to get naked in front of the fellow service members while other soldiers were filming them, she said at that time, according to Der Spiegel.

The soldiers attending the course also had to take part in “absolutely senseless and apparently sexually motivated medical exercises” that involved soldiers inserting roller bandages into their anuses. Both male and female recruits had to go through this. Such “drills” were also photographed, the officer added.

The officer’s complaint prompted an internal investigation into the matter that confirmed all the officer’s statements, Der Spiegel reports. The investigators also found that the violations at the base were not limited to degrading training exercises, but also included violent and humiliating rituals for new recruits.

Soldiers were tied to chairs for many hours and hosed down, according to the daily. After Volker Wieker, the Inspector General of the Federal Armed Forces, sent his special investigator to the base the number of discovered violations “rapidly increased.”

As a result, seven soldiers who served at the facility were immediately discharged from service without notice because of their involvement in the abuses. In addition, the regional Prosecutor’s Office in Hechlingen also opened a probe against the former servicemen on suspicion of infliction of serious bodily injuries, illegal deprivation of freedom, violence and abuse.

The base commander, Colonel Thomas Heinrich Schmidt, was transferred to another post along with two officers and two non-commissioned officers who were serving at the base, under order of the defense minister.

Army draws conclusions from Pfullendorf base incident – military

Following the publication in Der Spiegel, the German Army issued an official statement. It confirmed “a significant number of incidents that occurred at the Special Operations training center in Pfullendorf” and said that those incidents would be “taken seriously.”

It admitted that exercises conducted as part of the Combat First Responder course “were not in compliance with the standards of respect to human dignity and sexual self-determination” and were “shameful.” The statement also confirmed that soldiers at the base were involved in “admission rituals” that included various forms of abuse.

The Army stressed that those violations were committed by soldiers serving at the base while officers were not involved. Those involved in the abuse were discharged from service, the statement says, but it did not reveal the exact number of servicemen involved.

The Army would continue its investigation and take further disciplinary and organizational measures in relation to the incident, the statement said.

“The actions [of the personnel] at the Special Operations training center [in Pfullendorf] cannot be tolerated. It contradicts our values!” the Inspector of the Army, Lieutenant General Joerg Vollmer said in a statement, adding that those who committed the violations would “face the consequences.”

The German Defense Minister also condemned the abuse at the Pfullendorf base calling it “abhorrent” and “disgusting.” She also vowed to conduct a full investigation to bring all those responsible to justice.

Despite her condemnation, the minister came under criticism as lawmakers accused the ministry of covering up the incidents of abuse.

“The parliament was once again not timely informed [about the incidents], even though the facts were known [to the ministry] for some time,” Rainer Arnold, a lawmaker from the Social Democratic Party and a defense expert, told Stuttgarter Zeitung daily, who demanded a special session of the parliamentary Defense Committee.

The Berliner Zeitung reported that Committee members were informed about the incident by the Inspector General of the Federal Armed Forces only after an article on the issue was published by Der Spiegel.

Reports of abuses at the base first emerged in 2015. A subsequent investigation did not reveal any violations and the probe was dropped.

The Pfullendorf base has long been regarded as an elite training center used for both soldiers’ and officers’ training.

Kremlin says lifting of sanctions not discussed in Russia-US talks

Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump are not considering any deals which would lead to Washington lifting sanctions against Moscow, according to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"Now it is hardly possible to talk about any deals: first there is the need to decide on the date and venue for the two presidents to meet," said Peskov, as quoted by the TASS news agency.

According to Peskov, Saturday’s telephone conversation between Putin and Trump was "good and constructive," as both presidents have agreed to build relations based on mutual respect.

"Over the past years, the lack of mutual respect became the main reason for the deterioration of relations," he added.

Both American and Russian businesses are in “great demand for a more favorable climate, and a great deal is still to be done to create it," said Peskov.

What is important is that Washington is ready for dialogue, according to Putin's spokesman. "This is what President Putin called for rather consistently but where unfortunately he did not see reciprocity over the past years," he added.

The United States, the European Union, and their allies imposed sanctions against Russia after accusing the Kremlin of involvement in the conflict in Eastern Ukraine and the annexation of Crimea in 2014. Moscow has repeatedly denied participation in the Ukrainian conflict and said Crimea rejoined Russia in a legitimate referendum.

Washington and Brussels introduced several rounds of sanctions against Russian individuals, as well as the energy, banking and defense sectors. In response, Moscow banned food imports from countries that joined anti-Russian sanctions.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY!

"I had been in thirteen battle engagements, had sunk a submarine, and was the first man ashore in the landing at Roi. In that four years, I thought, What a hell of a waste of a man's life. I lost a lot of friends. I had the task of telling my roommate's parents about our last days together. You lose limbs, sight, part of your life--for what? Old men send young men to war. Flag, banners, and patriotic sayings... We've institutionalized militarism. This came out of World War Two... It gave us the National Security Council. It gave us the CIA, that is able to spy on you and me this very moment. For the first time in the history of man, a country has divided up the world into military districts... You could argue World War Two had to be fought. Hitler had to be stopped. Unfortunately, we translate it unchanged to the situation today... I hate it when they say,"He gave his life for his country."Nobody gives their life for anything. We steal the lives of these kids. We take it away from them. They don't die for the honor and glory of their country. We kill them." -- Admiral Gene LaRocque

Drain The Neo-Con/Neo-Liberal Deep State Micro-Swamp

The enormous potential for sabotage, politically motivated investigations/prosecutions/indictments/civil lawsuits, and other types of proverbial “throwing a monkey wrench” into the well-oiled pro-America First machine that President Donald Trump is now trying to feverishly re-construct and re-build is at huge, great risk from potential enemies within.

Now that President Donald Trump is, in a lightening fast, almost blitzkrieg manner, using his first weeks to pass monumentally powerful Executive Orders, in order to demolish and devastate the existing United States Deep State Neo-Conservative/Neo-Liberal Establishment, he must also simultaneously watch his back and be cognizant of the tens of millions of government micro-infiltrators, still taking their marching orders from the proverbial “head of the snake.”

In other words, the devil is in the details...

The Media Is Now The Political Opposition

Who else but the despicable Western media justified the enormous war crimes committed against millions of peoples by the Clinton, Bush, and Obama regimes in nine countries—Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Pakistan, Yemen, Syria, Somalia, Palestine, and the Russian areas of Ukraine?

Who else but the despicable Western media justified the domestic police states that have been erected in the Western world in the name of the “war on terror”?

Along with the war criminals that comprised the Clinton, Bush, and Obama regimes, the Western media should be tried for their complicity in the massive crimes against humanity.

“I want you to quote this. The media here is the opposition party. They don’t understand this country. They still do not understand why Donald Trump is the president of the United States,” Bannon added.

“The elite media got it dead wrong, 100 percent dead wrong,” he said of the election outcome, dubbing it “a humiliating defeat that [the media] will never wash away, that will always be there.” He noted that the media did not even attempt to rehabilitate itself after biased reporting on the elections.

How Deutsche Bank Made a $462 Million Loss Disappear

The bankers in the room had seen some financial sleight of hand in their day, but the maneuver that Faissola’s staffers proposed was audacious. They described a simple trade in two parts. For one half of the deal, Paschi would make a sure-thing, moneymaking bet with Deutsche Bank and use those winnings to extinguish its 2008 trading losses. Of course, Deutsche doesn’t give away money for free, so for the second half of the deal, the Italians would make a bet that was sure to lose. But while the first transaction was immediate, the second would play out slowly, over many years. No sign of the €367 million sinkhole would need to show up when Paschi compiled its yearend financial reports.

The British Government Has Colluded With Monsanto And Should Be Held Accountable In The International Criminal Court

The British public and the environment are being poisoned with a deadly cocktail of 320 pesticides. Moreover, Wales has become a storage dump for Monsanto’s most toxic chemicals. Dr Mason adds that Swansea has over the years been a testing ground for glyphosate with the outcome being a huge spike in illness and disease among the local population as well as ongoing environmental devastation. There has been a long-term reckless use of a glyphosate-based weedkiller in Swansea, regardless of EU recommendations.

23 US Nuclear Plants use same GE Fukushima reactors

With residents of western North America in a near panic over reports of ever-increasing radiation from Fukushima, critics have shifted their complaints to something even more feared. Some are accusing the Obama administration of downplaying the dangers from Japan in order to avoid the fact that 23 reactors in the US are the same allegedly faulty General Electric model that failed in Fukushima.

NY Times Pukes All Over Trump's Refugee Ban

In response to Trump's ban on refugees and blacklist from several muslim nations, the NY Times spent their morning offering inane anecdotal stories of exceptional people being blocked from reentering the United States. This is the very definition of dishonest reporting, as it draws on the emotional strings of empathetic people, deceptively supported by weakly sourced and illogical anecdotal stories designed to generate refugee sympathy. It goes without saying, not all refugees are violent reprobates. The whole point of the temporary ban on migration from countries deemed a credible risk by the Trump administration is to freeze things, while his administration figures out a way to improve the current immigration system, which is widely viewed as horribly flawed and has led to number national security failures and acts of terror on US soil.

In an effort to expedite the reading of their pro-immigration missive, I took liberties to translate it for the readers.

College Lecturer Punched In The Face And Knocked Into Freezing Canal For ‘Being White’

A media lecturer at Stratford College was set upon by a group of Muslim males and sent tumbling into a freezing canal while out jogging in Birmingham for, he believes, “being white” on January 15th.

The Stratford Observer reports that Lee Skinner was running along the canal side near Yardley Road, Acocks Green in the middle of the afternoon when one of the five-strong group suddenly struck him full force in the face, knocking him into the icy waters.

The Daily Mirror records how Skinner was “able to identify them as Pakistani as I’ve worked in Muslim communities and have a detailed knowledge of Islam and speak Arabic to a certain level”.

EU Parliament Committee Votes To Give Robots Rights (And A Kill Switch)

Foreseeing a rapidly approaching age of autonomous artificial intelligence, a European Parliament committee has voted to legally bestow electronic personhood to robots. The status includes a detailed list of rights, responsibilities, regulations, and a “kill switch.”

The committee voted by 17 votes to two, with two abstentions, to approve a draft report written by Luxembourg MEP Mady Delvaux, who believes “robots, bots, androids and other manifestations of artificial intelligence” will spawn a new industrial revolution. She wants to establish a European Agency to develop rules for how to govern AI behavior. Specifically, Delvaux writes about how increased levels of autonomy in robot entities will make usual manufacturing liability laws insufficient. It will become necessary, the report states, to be able to hold robots and their manufacturers legally responsible for their acts.

Think Tanks Stage Massive Computer Simulation of War With Russia in Warsaw

Defiantly demonstrating that nothing has changed since President Donald Trump's election, organizers of the wargames told Gazeta Wyborcza that the games were held "to help the West understand the essence of the military threat from Russia."

Computer simulations were used to show what would happen from human-caused global warming ... but that never happened. Russia will not invade Europe.

US hit with sudden spikes of rare radioactive material from Fukushima — Has 15.7 Million year half life — “Orders of magnitude” rise in levels on West Coast — Much higher amounts than were detected near Fukushima plant just after 3/11

This paper presents the results of an experimental study we performed by using the Accelerator Mass Spectrometry (AMS) method with iodine 129 (Halflife = 15.7 Million years], to determine the increase of the radionuclide content in the USA West Pacific Coast waters, two years after the March 2011 Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant accident… The results of the experiments showed a significant increase of the radionuclide concentration during the late spring of 2013. Compared to the isotopic ratio 129I/127I, measured at a 40 km distance, offshore of Fukushima and immediately after the accident, our results show an increase on the USA West Coast that was more than a 2.5 factor higher. Also, compared with the pre-Fukushima background values [in San Diego], our results show an isotopic ratio of about two orders of magnitude higher…

Massive die-off of sea creatures from California to Alaska — Animals starving as food chains continue to collapse — Mass starvation events plague West Coast — Scientist: “Felt like I was doing nothing but counting dead animals”

Ocean changes upend North Coast fisheries… once reliable ocean rhythms have been seriously unsettled of late, confounding those who depend on predictable, seasonal cycles… a symptom of widespread marine anomalies that have prevailed for the past three years, threatening everything from seabirds and sea lions to treasured catches such as salmon and abalone. “The ocean is changing,” one glum crabber aboard the vessel New Horizon said… Irregularity “is starting to look like the new normal,” he said… Evidence of starvation in abalone populations prompted authorities to impose new restrictions in the sport abalone fishery next year to limit the catch. The commercial red urchin fishery is suffering, as well…

No doubt human caused global warming will get the blame, but when you consider how much waste water is simply dumped into the ocean, containing vast amounts of unmetabolized medications from our over-medicated population, plus radiation from Fukushima, there is a more obvious answer!

The U.S. Had A Plan To Topple All 7 Countries On Trump’s Refugee Ban List

According to Reuters, Donald Trump is set to sign an executive order that would include a temporary refugee ban and a suspension of visas for citizens of Syria and six other Middle Eastern and African countries.

The list is expected to include Syria, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen. If those countries are starting to sound familiar, there’s a reason for that.

According to four-star General Wesley Clark, shortly after the attacks of 9/11, the Pentagon adopted a plan to topple the governments of seven countries; Iraq, Libya, Lebanon, Syria, Somalia, Sudan, and Iran.

Guess What Group Plans to “Massively” Resist Voter Fraud Investigation (Video)

How many times have you been talking to someone, and you know they’re lying, they know they’re lying, and they know that you know they’re lying, but yet they keep lying anyway? What the heck is going on with Democrats these days? It’s been years since they’ve had any sense, but at least they’ve always known how maneuver politically.

Democrats know darn well voter fraud has been rampant over the years (because they’ve made an effort to allow it), the whole country knows it, Democrats know the whole country knows it, and yet they’re still insisting voter fraud is a “myth?” Ok, if voter fraud is a “myth,” then Democrats have nothing to fear from an investigation, and it will be the quickest investigation in history, right? Wrong.

Investigation Launched into Obama’s DHS Hacking State Election Systems

How many times have Americans heard Donald Trump say that the mainstream media is grossly dishonest? Furthermore, thanks to Wikileaks, how many separate instances did Americans learn about where the mainstream media and the Democrats were colluding throughout the 2016 presidential election? We also learned that two groups have been colluding at the highest levels for many years.

From the moment President Trump was sworn in on January 20th, members of both the Democrat party, and most of the party’s propaganda arm (aka the mainstream media), have been relentless with their attacks on Donald Trump. Neither group seems to grasp the fact that each time they provoke the most powerful man on earth, most of those provocations being baseless or unwarranted in nature, they do so at great risk to themselves.

New Study Reveals Shocking Information About Trump’s Voter Fraud Claims (Video)

As was the case when candidate Trump said things on the campaign trail, now that he is president, often times after Donald Trump makes certain comments he is immediately laughed at by both the Democrats and the mainstream media. Considering how often both groups have underestimated Trump, and how often he’s proven them wrong, one would think they might have learned by now to hold off on the ridicule, at least temporarily.

When Donald Trump said he believes he not only won the electoral vote, but that he also won the popular vote if all the fraud was removed from the final numbers, the far-left went bananas. At least they’re consistent, right? Now President Trump has launched an investigation into the alleged voter fraud, and Democrats and the mainstream media are in full panic mode.

Smearing the Trumps: Will We Become as Hateful, Insensitive and Boorish as The Opposition?

What are the choices for me? (Perhaps for you too.) I (we) could boycott SNL. In my public platform, I could advocate against these tit-for-tat attacks that have become accepted in our profession—gossip, scandal, candid photos, personal politics. These are a major part of journalism; and they attract real talent.

We’ve got find a bigger, nobler response.

Because today so much that I value is threatened. (Not to mention having personally devoted decades of my life and my career defending my Arab and Muslim people and culture, enhancing the dialogue between us and others, joining a rising community of energetic Muslim comics, educators, writers, poets, performers and filmmakers in the uphill struggle.)

I must withdraw any respect for anyone who characterises President Trump, and his son, in this way; and Katie Rich, the lady who created this tweet, ("Barron will be this country’s first homeschool shooter"), that goes for you as well.

Trump's "monstrousness" has been created by the same whorespondents and presstitutes who "informed you" that:

1. Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction.
2. That Afghanistan had to be invaded, because it would not give up Osama Bin Ladin.
3. That Al Assad gassed his own people just when the UN inspection committee came to Syria.
4. And refuses to show you the horrific images of the results of US-enabled Saudi military assault against the Yemini people.

President Trump does not "...threaten all our values, and our human rights"; in fact, he appears to understand that the original "Contract with America" consists of the Constitution and Bill of Rights.

I think that this is what has traumatised so many on the left; this country got rather badly broken, courtesy of the last two administrations, and President Trump is trying, the best he can, to fix it.

The economy is broken, for most working people, due to massive offshoring and outsourcing of jobs; President Trump is trying to fix this, by changing regulations so that it will make sense for companies to manufacture in the US.

Our Veterans Agencies are broken, as are many of our Vets, who desperately need critical care, and right now; President Trump is trying to fix this.

We have an immigration system which is badly broken, and a huge influx of illegal aliens who are an absolute drain on an already broken economy; President Trump is trying to fix this.

President Obama left Trump with broken military misadventures overseas, which has already cost us far too much in blood and money; President Trump is trying to fix this.

So for all of my progressive friends still screaming foul over the last election, and occasionally crying into their play dough; please, give President Trump a chance.

He has barely been in office for one week, but he is working feverishly to fix a lot of the brokenness in which this country finds itself.

I have a feeling that at the end of the day, under the impartial judgement of history, President Trump may well be judged as one of the most centrist Presidents we have ever had.

Syria: Undeclared US-NATO War of Aggression, Using Al Qaeda Terrorism as An Instrument of Death and Destruction

The following eight concepts are intended to clarify the nature of the war on Syria.

It was never “a civil war”. It was an undeclared war of aggression using Al Qaeda affiliated terrorists as the foot-soldiers of US-NATO and their Middle East allies.

From day one, terrorists were involved in the killing of civilians.

It started in Daraa as an insurgency integrated by Salafist mercenaries.

Most of what is presented below is backed up by mainstream and official sources of information.

While Aleppo has been liberated against the scourge of US-NATO supported terrorism, most mainstream media are accusing Syrian government forces of committing atrocities against civilians, describing Aleppo as a humanitarian crisis. What they fail to mention is that for the last four years the Eastern part of Aleppo has been occupied by Al Qaeda terrorists who are now upheld as “opposition” rebels.

I want to take this moment to again commend Hawaii State Representative Gabbard for having had the courage to speak about her fact-finding mission in Syria on CNN, where she stated that there was no such thing as a "moderate rebel" in Syria.

The War Machine in this country is going to attempt to take her out of office, one way or another, but I believe that her courage under fire from the Deep State in this country deserves support and respect from both sides of the aisle; what she discovered means that everything the presstitutes and whorespondents have told US citizens about the situation in Syria is an absolute and complete lie.

North Korea restarts nuclear reactor used to fuel weapons program

The controversial reactor at Yongbyon has been at the center of a years-long feud between North Korea and the UN. Past agreements with the North to close the reactor have eventually been violated, leading to sanctions.

Satellite photos suggest North Korea has restarted the nuclear reactor that used to produce plutonium for its nuclear weapons program, according to a Washington-based think-tank.

Initial photos from January 18 showed preparations underway to restart the reactor at Yongbyon, having previously unloaded spent fuel rods for reprocessing to produce additional plutonium for its nuclear weapons stockpile.

"Imagery from January 22 shows a water plume (most probably warm) originating from the cooling water outlet of the reactor, an indication that the reactor is very likely operating," the US-Korea Institute at Johns Hopkins University's School of Advanced International Studies reported.

IF, in fact, this story is true, I do have a suggestion for President Trump; it is high time for threats and posturing against North Korea to stop.

What the US, China, and South Korea need to do, is sit down at the negotiating table with Kim Jung-Un, and create a peace treaty, with trade guarantees, with which to replace the existing Armistice between North and South Korea, in exchange for North Korea's stopping its nuclear weapons development program.

As has been seen with the P5+1 deal with Iran (which is hardly perfect, I will concede), countries can be persuaded to stop their nuclear weapons development programs, if the terms and conditions are favorable.

I would like to also politely remind President Trump that any war against North Korea will most probably mean war with China; and at this time in our country's history, our military doesn't have the weaponry; the troop strength; the money; or the manufacturing to insure a successful outcome to a conventional war with China.

China, and Russia, are spending far less for their weapons than does the US government, but are getting considerably more technological "bang" for their military bucks; unfortunately, however, the way contracts are awarded for US weaponry, these weapons many times are obsolete upon delivery; do not function at all as advertised, and are screamingly over budget.

This is an area of US military spending your administration has to fix, and quickly, sir.

Yemen: Food crisis could become famine this year, UN warns

The conflict-driven food crisis in Yemen could become a full-blown famine this year, the UN's humanitarian chief has warned.

Two million people need emergency food aid to survive and child malnutrition has risen 63% in a year, Stephen O'Brien told the UN Security Council.

A child under five dies every 10 minutes of preventable causes, he said.
Severe poverty, war damage, and a naval embargo by the Saudi-led coalition have all damaged food security.

About 14 million people are currently food insecure in Yemen, including 2.2m children who are acutely malnourished and nearly 500,000 suffering from severe acute malnutrition.

Mr O'Brien urged the Saudi-led coalition - which is backed by Western countries including the US and UK - to remove its no-fly zone and reopen Sanaa airport.

The US government, by enabling Saudi Arabia in this food blockade and war, has become complicit in war crimes. This is what life looks like to far too many Yemeni children:

Do you know what your government is aiding and abetting in Yemen?!? Take a good, hard look, because you need to know!

In President Trump's initial days and weeks in office, We the People need to have a peaceful, but loud and logical, conversation about why we are supporting Saudi Arabia in this "scorched earth" attack against the Yemeni people, even to the point of starving their children to death.

At the end of the day, the only real solution here is political, and not military, and that is what the US government should be working toward.

Haley: US ‘Taking Names’ at UN, Will ‘Show Our Strength’

Incoming US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley issued a statement today warning of repercussions for countries that “don’t have America’s back” at the international body, insisting the new administration marks a “change in the way we do business.”

Haley warned America would now be “taking names,” and that they intend to “show our strength” at the UN and make sure that America’s allies are all supported, and also support America on issues. Haley made the comments ahead of presenting her credentials to the Secretary General of the UN

Trump and Haley had both loudly criticized the UN for a Security Council vote that condemned Israel’s expansion of settlements in the occupied territories. This vote had also led to calls among Republican senators to demand the US defund the UN unless they reverse the vote.

No, Ambassador-Elect Haley; the US government 'shows its strength' when it proves it is on the right side of history, by engaging the other nations in the world with honest, moral, and hard-won negotiations toward achieving the US government's geopolitical agendas.

And when you get more time to study the matter, you will see that Israel's settlement expansion in the occupied territories has been created to prevent the establishment of a contiguous Palestinian state; that did not happen by accident, but by deliberate design on the part of the Israeli government.

If Israel embraces the "one state solution" rather than two, which it appears to be doing, with brisk annexations and serial genocide against the Palestinians, it is all down to demographics.

Unless the government of Israel decides on a massive, open program of annihilation against the Palestinians, (and they are currently killing and jailing as many as they think they can dare get away with), the issue of Palestine, Palestinian rights, and a Palestinian homeland will not go away.

Puget Sound Salmon: Eighty-one drugs found in salmon flesh

Caution: Salmon From Seattle, WA Region Contains Cocaine And Prescription Drugs. The contaminant levels found in Puget Sound were some of the highest in the United States.
Why do Puget Sound salmon contain contaminates?
Researchers speculate that the fish have contaminates because drug use is rampant in the region or because septic tanks are leaky. Another theory is that wastewater plants are not able to remove all of the estimated 97,000 pounds of contaminants flowing into Puget Sound each year.
Perhaps even more worrying is that the amount of drugs in the water near outfall pipes and in deep water may be underreported, according to researchers. Yikes. What the researchers found and measured is scary enough already.

Trump Will Defer to Mattis on Torture Ban

In comments that signal a shift away from his talk earlier this week over the US resuming the use of torture on detainees, President Trump today confirmed in comments during a joint conference with British Prime Minister Theresa May, saying he is leaving the torture question up to Defense Secretary James Mattis.

Mattis has made clear his opposition to torture, and his belief that it isn’t effective, and despite Trump once again today insisting he believes torture works, he will defer to Mattis, and Trump says he expects Mattis to keep the ban in place.

This makes the entire discussion over the week about torture, with Trump insisting top intelligence chiefs had assured him torture was a great way to extract information, pretty pointless, as both Mattis and CIA Director Mike Pompeo had made clear their opposition to the practice, and Trump apparently did not intend to overrule them.

Trump Signs Order for ‘Great Rebuilding’ of US Military

During his first post-inauguration visit to the Pentagon, President Trump today signed an executive order for what he described as the start of a “great rebuilding of the Armed Forces,” seeking to increase the size of the US military, which already spends roughly as much as the eight next largest militaries in the world.

Trump promised the plan would include new warplanes, new ships, new resources, and in increase in the number of special forces. The order calls for the Pentagon and Office of Management and Budget to work jointly on increasing military spending in the next fiscal year, and in ways that will give the Pentagon chief more flexibility on spending.

The question I want to ask is, for a country which is at least 20 trillion dollars in debt (that we know of), where is the money for this revamp coming from, please?!?

Trump weighing Callista Gingrich for Vatican ambassador

The Trump administration is considering Callista Gingrich, wife of Newt Gingrich, to be the US ambassador to The Vatican, according to a report Thursday.

She is among the top candidates for the coveted position, The New York Times reported.

Newt Gingrich had also been considered for the post despite his twin divorces and three marriages, but took himself out of the running.

Callista Gingrich, who calls herself a devout Catholic, told the Christian Broadcasting Network in a 2011 interview that she has “always been a very spiritual person.”

Her husband converted to Catholicism in 2009, The Hill reported.

The couple have been longtime friends of President Trump, and are members at his Virginia golf resort.

OK, here is Callista Gingrich's bio from the IMBD data base:

PROTESTERS PLOT "BORDER WALL" RALLY FOR TOMORROW...AT ZUCKERBERG'S SPRAWLING $100MM HAWAIIAN ESTATE

Back in 2014 Mark Zuckerberg paid $100 million to purchase 700 acres of beachfront property on the North Shore of Kauai. The estate includes 1,000's of feet of pristine shoreline providing the perfect "safe space" for the 30-year-old Silicon Valley Billionaire and his family.

Unfortunately, there was just one little problem with the purchase...technically the sellers didn't own the title to all of that land due to the so-called Kuleana Act, a Hawaiian law established in 1850 that for the first time gave natives the right to own the land that they lived on.

So now, according to the Honolulu Star Advertiser, the Facebook billionaire sued a few hundred Hawaiians who still have legal-ownership claims to parts of his vacation estate through their ancestors. Per Yahoo Finance:

Zuckerberg has demonstrated, clearly, that he is as tone-deaf to Indigenous Hawaiian rights as he is to information which does not support his and the Democrats' agenda.

David Brock, the seasoned liberal operative and Clinton loyalist who founded Media Matters, huddled with more than 100 donors last weekend at the swanky Turnberry Isle Resort in Aventura, Fla. to map out how Democrats will “kick Donald Trump’s ass.”

The Washington Free Beacon attended the retreat and obtained David Brock’s private and confidential memorandum from the meeting. The memo, “Democracy Matters: Strategic Plan for Action,” outlines Brock’s four-year agenda to attack Trump and Republicans using Media Matters, American Bridge, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), and Shareblue.

THINGS JUST GOT SERIOUS IN EUROPE’S WAR ON CASH

The central authorities in Europe just launched their most important offensive to date in their multiyear War on Cash. The new move comes directly from the European Union’s executive branch, the European Commission, which just announced its intention to “explore the relevance of potential upper limits to cash payments,” with a view to implementing cross-regional measures in 2018.

Maximum limits on cash transactions already exist in most European countries, and the general trend is downward. Last year, Spain joined France in placing a €1,000 maximum on cash payments. Greece went one better, dropping its cap for cash transactions from €1,500 to €500. In simple terms, any legal purchase of a good or service over €500 will need to be done with plastic or mobile money.

I would like to hope that should the US government attempt to do this in some way, that the reaction would be as (peacefully) fierce against it.

Closed Delaware River crossing latest woe for region with hundreds of problem bridges

The Delaware River Bridge was not one inspectors thought they had to worry about.

The steel-truss bridge was in fact undergoing a $61 million upgrade. Evaluated in 2014 on its three key components -- deck, substructure, and superstructure -- the 60-year-old bridge got passing marks in all three.

Yet last week a worker on a painting crew happened to spot, by chance, something so alarming, authorities rushed to close the bridge to the 42,000 cars that cross it each day: a beam beneath the bridge’s deck split in two.

Emmett Till, a 14-year-old black boy from Chicago died a horrific death at the hands of two white men after buying bubble gum while visiting racially segregated Mississippi in 1955.
They beat, shot and disfigured his body beyond recognition - and walked free, acquitted at the hands of an all-white, all-male jury.

Emmett's crime was allegedly whistling at a white woman. The woman, Carolyn Bryant, has lived in relative hiding for the last five decades, haunted by her past. She has now admitted that her testimony, which carried the case, was a blatant lie.

Puzzling and troubling @WhiteHouse #HolocaustMemorialDay [statement] has no mention of Jews. GOP and Dem. presidents have done so in the past."

The Trap Is Set: “Both Sides Are Utterly Unprepared For What’s Coming”

Some voted for Trump as a political Molotov cocktail… Trump is a business man, you say… He’s going to make things happen… cut taxes…cut regulation… invest a trillion dollar in infrastructure… punish companies that move factories overseas… rebuild the military… restore relations with Russia… start a trade war with China… and a new arms race would create jobs… there’s a lot to unpack there… and those debates are worth having.

However, much of this hinges on a variable that Trump doesn’t control… The Federal Reserve.

…Word is, the Fed is leaning towards increasing interest rates aggressively in 2017 and may engage in anti-inflationary measures to offset Trump’s infrastructure plans… that means the flow of money and credit is about to be tightened…

It also means the Fed is setting itself up for a showdown.
