Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes Marker.to’s information practices for its website and browser extension. We take your privacy seriously and want you to understand exactly what information we collect, how we use that information and who it is shared with. The majority of this policy applies to our Premium Users who have subscribed to our services. If you haven’t signed up to be a Premium User, we have practically no visibility of you.
Information Marker.to collects.
Personal Data: The only personal data we collect comes directly from you – which includes your email address and any other information you provide us with (including by email). In some instances, we may also collect basic IP information from your device for research purposes.
Your payment information is collected and stored by our payment processor PayPal – you should also check out PayPal’s privacy policy.
Anonymous Information: The Marker.to extension captures anonymous usage information, which may include, among other things, which version of our extension you are using, the language you use it in, browser information and operating system type.
Advertising Data We collect, store and analyze data regarding the advertisements that are shown to you in order to understand trends and usage. We use and store this information in anonymized form so that it is not associated with individual end users and does not include personal information. We may share anonymized information with third parties for any purpose, including, without limitation, for market research, data modeling, and analytics. The anonymized information that we may share includes the advertising data that we collect, store and analyze.
Extension error information: We may receive an error report should you experience an error using our extension. The error report includes Anonymous Information, along with a description of the error.

How We Use This Information
To improve how Marker.to works for you: We use the collected usage and analytics information to maintain and improve our website and extension – we only use this information internally. We may also use your information to manage your account, personalise your use of our website or extension, and post offers of other products and services we offer to you (if you agree).
We do not sell your information: Marker.to will never sell your personal information to any third party without your knowledge or consent. We do sometimes share anonymised and/or aggregated information that cannot be used to identify an individual by third parties or the public.
We disclose personal information as required by law: We may share your personal information if we are compelled to do so by law enforcement or other relevant authorities.
How to Access and Control Your Personal Data
You have a choice about whether or not you wish to receive information from us. If you do not want to receive direct marketing communications or improvement surveys from us, then you can select your choices by leaving the consenting box unticked on the form on which we collect your information.

We will not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
We will not share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
We may use some instances of your anonymised data for research purposes.
Marker.to does have access to the instances that you highlight by using the Services, but won’t view them unless you provide us with the link, if we need to fix something for you, or for research purposes. However, we do take your privacy very seriously, and therefore we strongly recommend that you do not use our service to store any instances of personal, confidential, sensitive or financial information.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
Like many other websites, Marker.to uses cookies. “Cookies” are small pieces of information sent by an organisation to your computer and stored on your hard drive to allow that website to recognise you when you visit.
